The Cyprus Electricity Authority (EAC) has started replacing old meters in our distribution boxes with new smart meters as part of the government’s modernization effort to enhance the power grid. The first five homes received their new meters yesterday, and the remaining replacements will occur over the next few weeks. Please expect a brief outage of about 5 minutes during the installation. The EAC covers all replacement costs.
